Preparing for the Future

camping4Today we have just under 90,000 registered Scouts in the Utah National Parks Council. 20 years from now we project over 120,000 Scouts in our Council.

Today we have 12 camps and we will need 16-20 camps to adequately serve youth. Not only will there be more youth, but public lands are becoming harder to find. We have several people looking for property in northern Utah County, since that is one of the big growth areas in the Council. We also have a good friend of Scouting helping us in the Moab area.

Land donations, many times for a tax advantage to the donor, and/or creative financing are a must. If you have some ideas for us, contact me at 801-368-2166 or
