That’s why I recommend you use the online version, and subscribe to Advancement News (to subscribe, send a message to email@example.com, with “SUBSCRIBE” in the subject line. Indicate your name, email address, and council in text.).
By subscribing, you are sure to have the latest updates. You may also find updates online at www.scouting.org/advancement or via Twitter by following @AdvBSA or “BSA Advancement Team”. Personally, I like tweets, so I am one of their 4,000 followers.
However, with that all said, about every two years the whole booklet gets an overhaul; there are just too many changes. The last update was in 2015, so we are due to receive a new one.
The BSA advancement team promises a revised version of the 2015 release, which is currently in final development. When the 2017 update is released, you can be certain that Advancement News and the other methods listed above will all report on its major changes and additions. Plus, we will bring you highlights of any new materials included, as well as those that have been expanded or changed.
