Darryl H. Alder
Darryl received his Eagle Scout Award back in 1965 and hasn’t stopped Scouting since. He is a recent retiree with more than 30 years of service as a career Scouter. While still a teen, he trained to become an Army Reserve medic. He met his wife Sue in an outdoor BYU class. Together they worked at BSA camps and then adopted four children. He helped design staff training for BSA, IT professionals, nonprofit boards, and Utah’s food industry. He also created a course designed to help curb illegal alcohol and tobacco sales, which won an award from the Utah Medical Association. In Provo, he served three years on the city’s Library Board and twelve on the Provo School District Board of Education. Today, he helps manage BSA’s two largest blogs.
Congratulations to Darryl H. Alder!
