#LightTheWorld Day 24

Jesus taught:

“Ye must watch and pray always.”

—3 Nephi 18:15

I actually called the chat line to ask about this.  I wondered what we were supposed to be watching for.     Although there might be other opinions, it is felt that we should watch and be aware of others who may be in need of your help through the use of prayer.

Many times when our friends in and out of Scouts have troubles on their minds they will look bothered and act unresponsive.  Instead of leaving them alone, ask if you can do anything to help.  They probably will tell you “no”, but ask if they mind if you pray for them.

You can pray with them listening, or pray after you have left.  Just let the Spirit guide you in what things you include in your prayer.  Prayer is something a Scout should do often.  It will help to light your world.  Just remember God sometimes says “no”, but your prayers will always be answered.
