Unplug and Bond: Enjoy your Outdoorsy Family Retreat at Camp

Family reunions are increasingly important as family members move away and pursue different interests. Finding a location that can accommodate your whole family and that offers activities within or around the area can be challenging. We’ve got just what you are searching for! Our camps numerous campsites are perfect for your outdoorsy family retreat and are within distance to lakes, national forests, and local attractions.

Planning a family reunion can be taxing and very expensive. Hotel rooms get expensive and can become booked fairly quickly. That’s why choosing to camp is ideal. We want to help make this reunion both affordable and fun for everyone. For those who’d like to save, our campsites are super cheap, and we offer group discounts. If you can afford to spend more, there are cabins at some of our properties that can offer more luxury. 

Camps Available for Reservation

Several of our camps are open year round to reservations. These camps offer a variety of amenities that will ensure your reunion will be relaxing. For the die-hard camper, we have campgrounds with grills and picnic tables, and for those that prefer glamping, we have cabins and some RV stations. There’s something for everyone when you camp with us. 

Zion Base Camp

At Zion Base Camp, the campsites are flat, open, and developed. It’s the perfect location for overnight use by families and friends. There are 14 separate campsites, that can each support up to 12 individuals. Each campsite includes a cement pad with a table, water, and surrounding grass area for tents. The cost is $35.00 per campsite.

Camp Maple Dell

Camp Maple Dell has plenty of space with its 42 campsites. Maple Dell offers traditional camping options and on-site cabins as well(several of which are listed on Airbnb). Nestled on the edge of the Maple Dell property among the trees of the Uinta Forest, these cabins offer a more comfortable getaway with heating, kitchens, and even wifi. With an unbeatable price and a great location, our Maple Dell cabin experience is one you won’t regret. The cost is $45 per person per day for family reunions and to rent a cabin it costs $50 a day.

Bacon Memorial Park

Bacon Memorial Park is located in the Uintah Basin. This campsite is perfect for good ol’ fashioned camping. The Park offers feature such as:

  • Pavillions
  • Developed Campsites
  • Water
  • Limited Power
  • Latrines

The Uintahs contain Ashley and Wasatch National Forests including the High Uinta Primitive Area. These are just some of the great places just miles from camp, and they are perfect activities to enjoy during the day.

Camp Tifie

 Camp Tifie is situated 7,500 feet above the beautiful Sanpete Valley. For group camping, Camp Tifie has two different options to choose from:

  • large group with open pavilion 
  • large group with enclosed pavilion

There is a pool that is open during the summer so that you and your family can cool down from the summer heat. The cost is $15 for day use or you can pay $150 per night for a group of 125 or less.

Fun Family-Friendly Activities

A family reunion is meant to be an event where everyone can get together and bond. At camp, there are so many family-friendly activities that are cheap or cost nothing at all. A big bonus is that there’s very little limitations on the fun that can be had in the outdoors. From a fun game of sports or even flying a kite, you can have the best time while camping out. It’s time to unplug and focus on each other. Here are some fun activities to do just that:

  • Tug of War
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Hiking
  • S’more making
  • Storytelling
