Trail to Eagle Sponsors: Local Companies Help Scouts

The Eagle Scout Award is the highest achievement possible for those in the Scouting program. Only 4% of all Scouts reach this rank. In addition to earning at least 21 merit badges, they must exemplify the Scout Oath and Law and hold positions of leadership. They must also complete a project. While this last piece seems like the difficult part, and for many it is, taking the time to really learn the skills needed for each merit badge is also a challenge.

Trail to Eagle

The Utah National Parks Council recently established the Trail to Eagle Merit Badge Workshop Program. This program is meant to help Scouts earn merit badges in a safe, fun, and timely manner. If you can’t attend all of the merit badge adventures at our different camps, this program will help you earn those merit badges a little closer to home.

Current Sponsors

Since the conception of this program, many local companies have hopped on board.

Art Merit Badge Sponsored by Lulu’s Crafty Corner

Whitewater and Kayaking Merit Badge Sponsored by Pro Rafting Tours

Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge Sponsored by Geo Shelters

Personal Management Merit Badge Sponsored by World Financial Group Orem

How You Can Help

Registration for the above-listed classes is now available. Sign up today! Also, stay tuned to the calendar feed to find more classes as they become available.

Local businesses in the community sponsor the Merit Badge Workshops. They use their professional abilities to teach the Scouts the essentials skills needed for each merit badge. Merit Badge Workshops take place in the sponsoring party’s business location unless the merit badge requires otherwise.

We are also always taking new businesses to sponsor the program. If you or someone you know has a business that involves any merit badge topics, let us know! We would love to form a partnership and start working together.

By participating in this program you can help the Utah National Parks Council continue to provide quality experiences for youth to grow physically, mentally, and morally. Thank you for your support!
