Get Your Halloween Spook On At Camp

Looking for a hair-raising, family-friendly activity to get in the Halloween spirit? Look no further! Through the month of October Camp Jeremiah Johnson and Maple Dell Scout Camp are hosting hauntingly fun programs that the whole family can enjoy, (not just Scouts)!

Tis’ the season to be scared!


Halloween Ghost Trails

Maple Dell Scout Camp is holding its annual Halloween Ghost Trails. Two fun Halloween-themed walks around camp. One is a fun walk for young children followed by story time and the other a suspense-filled scare walk for older youth and adults. (No blood and no gore!)

When:

  • October 27th at 7:00pm – 10:00pm
  • October 28th at 7:00pm – 10:00pm
  • No need to register!

Admission:

  • $3.00/person
  • Children ages 3 and under are free!
  • Tickets available at the camp’s Trading Post when you arrive.

  • Maple Dell Scout Camp, 14166 S. Payson Canyon Rd, Payson, UT 84651

Details:

  • Be sure to dress warm. Temperatures can be very cold up in the canyon.
  • $1.00 hot chocolate and donuts will be available to purchase at the Trading Post.
  • After your trail, enjoy the warmth of the cackling fire.

Eeeeerie Encounters

Eerie Encounters are family-oriented, Halloween-themed activities geared towards ages 11 and younger. Camp JJ has designed activities that will be a little eerie but not give you nightmares such as archery, boats, haunted trails, a craft, Halloween games, stories and much more. Limited space available per date so hurry and register today!

When:

  • October 20th at 6:30pm – 8:00pm – Register
  • October 21st at 6:30pm – 8:00pm – Register
  • October 27th at 6:30pm – 8:00pm – Register
  • October 28th at 6:30pm – 8:00pm – Register
  • Walk-ins are welcome and will need to register upon arrival. If you have pre-registered you many skip this line.

Admission:

  • $3.00/person
  • Groups of six or more: $2.50/person

  • Camp Jeremiah Johnson, Left Fork Hobble Rd, Springville, UT 84663, (just behind the rotary park).

Details:

  • Be sure to dress warm. Temperatures can be very cold up in the canyon.
  • The General Store will be open to purchase snacks and souvenirs.
  • Hot chocolate will be available for .50 cents.
  • Eeeeerie Encounters patches will be available for purchase in the General Store for $1.00.

    I can not wait! I love Halloween and want my kid to enjoy it just as much. I’m so thankful that these two events are available and friendly for my two year old. I will definitely be going to BOTH this year!
