Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox to speak at annual Boy Scouts gala, the Celebration of Eagles

Event to honor prominent community leaders for lifetimes of service to the world and Scouting

OREM, UTAH—Oct. 26, 2018. The Utah National Parks Council, BSA will celebrate the virtues of Scouting by honoring outstanding men in our community at the Celebration of Eagles, a celebratory gala to be held at the Adobe Lehi Campus. Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox will address attendees as the evening’s keynote speaker and Val Hale, journalist and Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, will attend as the master of ceremonies. Honorees will receive either the Outstanding or Distinguished Eagle Scout Award at the ceremony.

The Celebration of Eagles event is an annual ceremony to honor adult Eagle Scouts who have devoted their lives to service and have become leaders in their communities and in the world. We are proud to announce the award recipients for this event:

These men have devoted a lifetime to their profession, avocation, community and beliefs, at great sacrifice to themselves and their families. Each recipient will receive recognition worthy of a lifetime’s accomplishments.

The reception will begin at 7 pm, which will feature private tours of the Adobe Campus, and will be followed by the award ceremony at 8 pm. Folk artist Eric Dowdle will also be in attendance to showcase his collaboration with the Council and our oldest camp, Camp Maple Dell. He will be answering questions and signing autographs. Each event attendee will receive an authentic Eric Dowdle gift. Sponsorships opportunities are also an important part of this evening, giving community members and organizations the option to become a sponsor for this event.
