Scouts Discovered Ecosystems During ‘Scout Night’ at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

The earth’s ecosystems are mysterious and fascinating. Each individual environment is uniquely developed into its own little, functioning world. Scouts had a chance to discover, learn, and explore a few of these extraordinary systems during Loveland Living Planet Aquarium‘s “Scout Night.”

Scout Night” at the Aquarium includes admission, hands-on activities, mini classes, and more. Scouts and leaders can spend an evening observing not only ocean life but other habitats as well such as critters native to Utah or wildlife from Asia.

The hands-on exhibits encouraged Scouts to use more of their senses to study interesting creatures of the wild. They were surrounded by opportunities to visualize, feel, and smell life in the ocean, jungle, and more. Scouts could even participate in small classes that worked on parts of the Oceanography Merit Badge.

Leaders should take advantage of these all inclusive opportunities. Pre-planned events that work on advancement and get the troop together can save a lot of time and energy. To attend a “Scout Night” at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium click here.
