Friends of Scouting: Does Scouting Work?

Charles Dahlquist shares his personal experience about Friends of Scouting and the Scouting program.

When you contribute to Friends of Scouting, you never know who you may be helping. Whether it is a boy struggling to find a place of acceptance, a boy learning to overcome his fears or a boy wondering if he wants to serve a mission, Scouting serves to prepare young boys to make moral and ethical choices throughout their lives.

The Utah National Parks Council serves more than 83,000 youth. Your contribution goes toward helping a youth to live the Scout law and oath – to do his duty to God and country because he identifies with that. It is who he becomes, not who he currently is. Each young boy in Scouting has a unique opportunity to discover who he is and what he believes.

We invite you to watch Charles Dahlquist and be inspired by his testimony of Friends of Scouting.

We wish to thank Bob Parchman (LDS Philanthropies, retired), Ron Taylor (LDS Philanthropies, retired) and a special thanks to Jon Anderson (BYU – TV) for making this video.
