How You and Scouting Can Benefit This Tax Season

There are many emotions during tax season. We stress about who to trust to prepare our tax return. When we finally decide, there is that moment of hesitation when we hand them all of the information they need to do our taxes. We live in uncertainty for a time, wondering whether we owe money or we get some back. Then we wait patiently, praying for a good return. Overall, tax season is always a bit stressful.

However, we have great news for you this tax season! You can feel great about your taxes, regardless of the outcome. Here are some ways you and Scouting can benefit from this year’s taxes process.

To find the nearest office location, go to or If you are a new client, H&R Block will donate $20 to benefit Scouting locally.

  1. In Utah, when you file an income tax return, you may designate a contribution to the Utah National Parks Council. Any contribution you make will add to the tax due on your return or reduce your refund. Here’s how: Write the code (13) and the amount of your contribution on your Utah TC-40, page 3, Part 4. Total all contributions on line 28. For more information, visit this webpage or contact the Division of Housing and Community Development Department of Workforce Services at 801-468-0148.
