Darryl Alder, director of support services, in behalf of the marketing committee and professionals responsible for The Boy Scout’s creation, accepted the award at the 16th Annual National President’s Awards for Marketing Excellence reception.

Of the recognition, Alder said, “Of course we’re honored, but especially for a start up newsletter. We have just been doing our job trying to keep Scout leaders, donors and chartered partners informed–for us it has been about communication and connection with our stakeholders.” He went on to explain how surprised he has been to hear of people nationwide who read the newsletter.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped make The Boy Scout a reality in our council, namely, Sebo Marketing, Stephen Hales, Ken Krogue, and Heidi Sanders.

We want to thank our marketing committee for their attention to detail and content for our readers. Thank you to all the great volunteer contributors that tell the story of Scouting in our community.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all our readers!
