Scouting is adventure, family, fun, character, leadership and so much more.
In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best-right-now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that put kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.
There have been some changes within the Boy Scouts of America over the past couple of years. And with these changes come growth, diversity, and new beginnings. During these transitions, people may wonder how to start a new unit, join a new unit, or transfer to a new unit. The purpose of this article is to help our new and old Scouting friends.
Are you prepared to forge a new path, to blaze a new trail, and put adventure in range? To reach your potential, and climb right past it? Then Scouting is the adventure for you.
Not only will you explore the great outdoors and discover new worlds but you’ll build confidence, conquer new challenges, practice faith, learn to love and serve those around you, and so much more.
With the recent transformation of welcoming girls into all Scouting programs (and not just a few), Scouting can become a tool for the family’s home-centered learning and even a resource for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ new outdoor youth program.
Did you know that boys AND girls as young as five-years-old can join Cub Scouts? Or that the older youth programs go up to twenty-years-old? Check it out below!
