Friends of Scouting: Why You Should Support Scouting

Charles Dahlquist, a leader in Scouting in the LDS Church, shares a message for all about Friends of Scouting.

Scouting is the LDS Church’s program for young men. The First Presidency recently said, “We are thankful for Scouting’s emphasis on duty to God and moral behavior and its positive influence on the lives of boys and young men.”

Scouting is not just the arm of the Aaronic Priesthood – It is the priesthood in action!

Every year, a volunteer comes by your home and asks you to make a contribution to the Utah National Parks Council. We know that many families have limited funds and struggle to make the decisions of where to give.

We invite you to watch the Charles Dahlquist video and listen to his message about why you should support Scouting and the young men in your neighborhoods, wards and stakes.

We wish to thank Bob Parchman (LDS Philanthropies, retired), Ron Taylor (LDS Philanthropies, retired) and a special thanks to Jon Anderson (BYU – TV) for making this video.
