A Scout is:
The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law. The aims of Scouting are to develop in youth:
- a strong ethical character,
- an active, participating citizenship, including leadership ability
- personal fitness: physical, mental, emotional and moral
Utah National Parks Council
The Utah National Parks Council fulfills the mission and aims of Scouting by fully supporting each of its chartered organizations. The Council, through its districts, provides training, communications, programs, activities, camping facilities, service centers, volunteer resources, volunteer recognition and professional resources necessary to deliver the promise and program of Scouting. The Council together with the Districts provide the funds, facilities, leadership, organization, and professional support to accomplish this.
