Scouts Can #LightTheWorld Too

Once again this year the LDS Church is ushering in Christmas with a #LightTheWorld event that fits right in with a Scout’s Duty to God and Daily Good Turn. Each day in December until Christmas we will offer suggestions for your Pack or quorum that aligns with “25 Days, 25 Ways” part of the Church’s initiative.

The #LightTheWorld event fits perfectly with the World Scout Movement’s Messengers of Peace. Daily for the next 25 days, Scouts can get ideas for their Daily Good Turn from this site or by following us here. Doing this will qualify them for the  Messengers of Peace Patch

Day 1: “FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE”
Day 2: “I WAS THIRSTY, AND YE GAVE ME DRINK.”

The Church introduced the campaign with these words and this video:

Once again, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by serving others this Christmas season. As we follow His example, we can help #LightTheWorld.

If you and your Scouts are looking for ways to really make a difference this holiday season, take some time to look at these resources:

How will you and your Scouts  #LightTheWorld this year? (tell us in the comment section below)
